The test needle, also known as the test probe in the industry, is divided into spring needle (special needle) and general needle when used for PCB board testing. When the spring needle is used, the test mold needs to be made according to the wiring condition of the tested PCB board. In general, a mold can only test one kind of PCB board; Universal needle in use, only need to have enough points, so now many manufacturers are using universal needle; Spring pins can be divided into PCB board probe, ICT probe and BGA probe according to their usage. PCB board probe is mainly used for PCB board testing, ICT probe is mainly used for online testing after plug-in, and BGA probe is mainly used for BGA package testing and chip testing.

At present, the main foreign test probe suppliers include ECT in the United States, INGUN in Germany, QA in the United States, among which ECT double-ended probe has the highest cost performance;

Uses can be divided into:

A. Optical circuit board test probe: circuit board test before installation of components and only open and short circuit detection probe, most of the domestic probe products can replace imported products;

B. Online test probe: detection probe after the PCB circuit board is installed; The core technology of excellent products is still in the hands of foreign companies. Some domestic probe products have been developed successfully, which can replace imported probe products;

C. Microelectronic testing probe: that is, wafer testing or chip IC testing probe, the core technology is still in the hands of foreign companies, and domestic manufacturers actively participate in the research and development, but at present only a small number of manufacturers such as Jingcetong Electronics successfully produced.
